"Brad is a rare individual -- a working artist and a technology developer.  He naturally understood all of my web site goals and concerns as an artist.  He created a very effective web site with a great design that is easy for me to update and at an affordable rate.  My web site traffic has nearly tripled as a result."

Web Development

Brad builds websites using the Wordpress content management system (CMS) software. Wordpress is "open source," meaning the code is free and completely modifiable. A site built on the Wordpress platform is incredibly flexible, completely customizable and easy to update. Once the site is built, the user can simply log into an administrative interface to make changes without knowing any web programming at all!

In addition, the Wordpress development community offers a multitude of free plugins to extend the functionality of a website. This makes it easy to add a new feature, which saves development time -- and saves you money!

Examples of sites Brad has built using the Wordpress platform:

  • MinusSpace.com - This site showcases the work of New York City reductive artists. The navigation is driven by categories, making the addition of content to pages incredibly quick and easy.
  • MatthewDeleget.com - This site features the work of New York City artist Matthew Deleget. The site is based on the Eyebeam WP-Folio theme, which offers a clean look and a great gallery.
  • CarolSalmanson.com - Carol Salmanson, a visual artist based in Brooklyn, needed a site that would showcase her work in an aesthetically pleasing layout but still provide an easy way for her to update the content.

Consulting

In addition to website development, Brad also provides technology consulting for artists and arts organizations. This includes, but is not limited to:

Social Media - Brad can help you determine the right mix of social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) to reach your audience effectively. He can also help you to integrate the tools into your website, making it easy for you to build a strong and engaged network.

Brad can help you determine how to make the most effective use of existing hardware and software, incorporate new technology in a smart way and plan for future technology growth.

Online Marketing - It isn't good enough to simply have a website. It's crucial to market your online presence effectively to attract and retain visitors. Brad can help determine the most appropriate marketing channels for your work and develop a strategy for connecting with your potential audience.
